Privacy and secure information handling

Who this covers
This policy applies to Back of House Ops (“BOHO”, “we”) and to information collected through this website. Information handled while providing services to a client restaurant is governed by that client’s signed service schedule, which takes precedence over this page.
What we collect on this site
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, restaurant or group name, work email address, and optionally your phone number, city or town, number of locations, number of active employees, current payroll setup, next pay date, whether you employ tipped staff, and any message you write.
Information we ask you not to give us. The form is explicitly not a channel for sensitive employee data. Do not submit Social Security numbers or other government identifiers, bank details, medical or disability information, or details about an individual employee’s conduct or complaints. The form attempts to detect and reject such content, but that detection is a safeguard, not a guarantee — please do not rely on it.
Technical information. Our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL in order to serve and secure the site.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a fit call.
- To prepare a scoped proposal if you ask for one.
- To detect and block automated or abusive form submissions.
- To keep a record of business enquiries we have received.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
Form submissions are delivered to us by an email delivery provider, and this site is served by a hosting provider. Both process the data only in order to provide those services to us. If we add analytics or a CRM to this site, this section will be updated to name them before they are enabled.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The contact form operates without them. If measurement tooling is added later, this section will be updated and, where consent is required, consent will be requested before any such tooling loads.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable business record, and are deleted on request unless we are required to retain them. Client records are retained per the retention terms in the relevant service schedule.
Your choices
You may ask us what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by writing to dmurphy@murphyaccounting.com. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will.
Security
Our operating practices for handling payroll and people data are set out on the security and data handling page. No website or service can promise perfect security, and this policy does not do so.
Children
This site is intended for business use and is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
