Restaurant onboarding

Best hiring platforms for restaurants (2026)

By Dan MurphyUpdated 4 min read

What are the best hiring platforms for restaurants?

For skilled kitchen and service roles, hospitality networks such as Culinary Agents and Poached reach the right candidates. For volume hourly hiring, use Indeed, Snagajob, or hiring software such as Harri and Workstream. Homebase Hiring suits small restaurants already on Homebase. Massachusetts employers with 25 or more employees must include a pay range in postings.

Restaurant hiring rarely stops. These platforms are where most restaurants find staff, from hospitality-only job boards to high-volume hiring software. Once someone accepts, the paperwork begins, and that is where onboarding takes over.

How we chose

  • Hiring platforms restaurants use, checked on their own sites.
  • Hospitality-specific boards and general boards both included, and labelled.
  • No pricing or ratings. Posting costs vary by market and role.

1.Culinary Agents

Hospitality job network · Kitchen and front-of-house hiring

A hospitality-only hiring network used by tens of thousands of businesses, with a large pool of culinary and service candidates.

Best for: full-service and chef-driven restaurants hiring skilled staff.

Worth knowing: its strength is skilled roles more than volume hourly hiring.

2.Poached

Hospitality job board · Independent restaurants

A restaurant and hospitality job board, plus a shift-filling product for short-term cover.

Best for: independents hiring front- and back-of-house staff.

Worth knowing: check how many candidates it reaches in your city before paying for a post.

3.Harri

Hospitality hiring software · Multi-unit groups

Hospitality hiring software that posts to Indeed, ZipRecruiter and other boards in one step, then carries the candidate into onboarding.

Best for: multi-unit groups hiring in volume.

Worth knowing: built for scale.

4.Workstream

Hourly hiring software · QSR and franchise groups

Hourly hiring software with automated screening, used heavily by quick-service and franchise brands.

Best for: QSR and multi-unit groups.

Worth knowing: more automation than a single independent restaurant usually needs.

5.Indeed

General job board · Everyone

The largest general job board. You can post free, and pay to sponsor a post for more visibility.

Best for: reach, especially for entry-level roles.

Worth knowing: it is not restaurant-specific, so expect to screen more applicants.

6.Snagajob

Hourly job marketplace · Hourly and QSR roles

An hourly-work marketplace with millions of job seekers and a restaurant and QSR category.

Best for: hourly, entry-level and quick-service roles.

Worth knowing: fewer experienced fine-dining candidates.

7.Homebase Hiring

Hiring inside scheduling · Homebase users

Publishes a post to major job boards in one click, then moves the hire into Homebase scheduling, onboarding and payroll.

Best for: small restaurants already using Homebase.

Worth knowing: job posts are paid.

How to choose

For skilled roles, go to the hospitality networks (Culinary Agents, Poached). For volume hourly roles, use Indeed, Snagajob or high-volume hiring software. Local options such as MassHire and Boston culinary training programs are free, and are in our Boston resources list.

Massachusetts employers with 25 or more employees must include a pay range in job postings. See key Massachusetts restaurant labor laws.
